Well, it’s not all peachy in new motherboard land. I found a problem, and its name: 0x00000005 - page fault in non paged area. Great.

It’s really only happening when I try to start up any game - like playonline, or Jedi Knight.

So, that’s leading me to believe its one of two things: bad agp driver (though I’m using VIA’s latest) or bad nVidia Driver (I’m also using the latest).

I’m not sure exactly how to deal with this problem. I’m going to try to format and reinstall windows again. And then play around with the drivers I set up (perhaps use the ones that come with the motherboard) before installing the nvidia drivers (perhaps installing the windows update ones first before installing latest nvidia ones).

It’s annoying, mostly because I was really hoping to get an hour of FFXI in today. That’s just not possible now. And having looked at Microsoft’s extensive returns on the subject I’m starting to feel like I’m never going to have a working computer again.
