AeroCool System
There I was, with a new motherboard and a computer that looked like it was running again, except every so often it crashed in a BSOD (blue screen of death). It was very frustrating.
But I had seen this before, the culprit: overheating processor.
So I bought a new heatsink and today I installed it.

The old alluminium fins vs the high-tech copper core ones
So far everything is running fine. I installed MBM 5 so I can see how the temperature of my proc is. So far it’s been stable running at full speed at 40C for a couple of hours. It’s not bad. The real test though is to see the system make it overnight - my room gets real warm, and sometimes that crashes my webserver. So if tomorow my computer hasn’t BSOD’ed then I think I’m home free.
