I got a domain!
So, I decided to get a domain name - they are getting pretty cheap now, $9.99/year. I remember back in the day it was $75/year to do it with INTERNIC. I don’t think that included the activation fee though. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with my domain name though. I suppose I could move my site to a dedicated host and leave my server as a test server. But even if I did that it probably wouldn’t happen any time soon. Funny enough, guess what name I registered?
Can’t guess? darksama.ca! I was browsing through some blogs when I kept reading about this site that had their domain name suspended because they were using a dot-ca without being a Canadian Citizen. Tisk, tisk. I just hope no one gets overly angry at the Canadian Internet Registration Authority over this, they clearly state in their rules for registration (document file) that you must either be some form of Canadian, or Her Majesty the Queen
to be accepted for a dot-ca registration.
