Just a little post
It’s been just a little over two weeks since I was able to get the server back up and besides a short power outage it seems to have been up and running all this time. Nifty. Not many things have happened in this time, just work and school (with its related paper writing). The second of which almost ruined my thanksgiving weekend; there was a writing assignment due on Monday. Though I have to say that even that inconvenience didn’t bring down my four days of non-work (well technically 3 as friday I spend with Kate doing some major Christmas shopping - $400 down and half the people on our list)!
Thanksgiving almost became a disaster due to lack of communication. It got just a little too complicated for me to express in words, but at least everything came out alright in the end except that Kate’s mom got sick after dinner and hasn’t gotten any better since. At least I can say that even with the problems I had I still felt rather good about the day, unlike my friend Chris who is now unfortunately disenchanted with holidays.
It was specially nice to see Jimmy and Jenna - who are still together - along with Mindi the day after Thanksgiving, even if it was only for a couple of minutes at IHOP. Though I’m not sure why we went to IHOP considering all the things that have happened there it’s become almost infamous in our group of friends from high school. Though I did notice that it’s not as cold in IHOP as it is Denny’s, that place is a freezer! And while I know that Jimmy is as busy as the rest of us I hope he’ll find some time over the 3 days he’ll be down for Christmas so that I can give him his present, which I’m still not sure on what it will be.
And even though the lack of time and effort I put in to my last paper for Europian History I enjoyed the time I saved playing Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles with Chris and his brother. That game is starting to grow on me. I heartly recommend it for those of you with a GameCube and GameBoy Advance along with two or more friends who also own GBAs and have at least four uninterrupted hours to have some fun.
