Delayed Christmas Post

Christmas has always been a great time for videogames, ever since we had a gaming console in the house. It actually didn’t really become a good gaming time untill I had an SNES and we lived in Canada - the cold weather outside just made it that much easier to stay in and play all the new games. What I used to get for Christmas however pales in comparison to recent years. This time I came out with 8 games. Thats as much, as I bought/acquired throught out the year! After exchanges and Gift Cards we ended up with:

I’ve gotten a chance to play most of theses already - if only for 15 minutes. Only one we’ve sort of beaten (finished the story mode but still need to get all the extras). One of the greatest game moments we had this Christmas though didn’t come from any of the new games. December 30th we stayed up until 2:30am finishing Four Swords! Kate and I along with Chris and David sat with our four gameboys - two Red GBA SP’s one Silver SP and a transparent GBA classic - in a longer then expected game session. We had our game saved at the last part of the world, with all the Knights and all but one of the Maidens rescued, we expected to be playing for a couple of hours at most. Not so. It was really funny though - the things that come out when you’re desperate to finish a game. The best part: Kate calling out as Purple Link “I’m in it for the pussy!”

Creative Zen Micro 6GB

However, I do have to say that the best present this time around was my Creative Zen Micro from Kate. I’ve been using this thing at work, in my car on the way Tampa. It’s a great little thing. A little too sensative sometimes, but I’m getting used to it. I was surprised it lasted so long, around 3 hours of play on the way to Tampa and 3 hours back next day. I’m not exactly sure how I feel about the software though. I don’t particularly want keep pluggin my zen micro in to my computer and having that annoying windows popup and the Creative player pop up. I understand why it does though, so I don’t feel that bad.
